Three weeks without trash service has become intolerable. It is time to hold those responsible for this mess. That includes the Rio Arriba County and Española city manager who have allowed this to continue.
Why is every effort not being taken to collect the trash? The City of Española and Rio Arriba County have plenty of dump trucks, pickup trucks and other vehicles that could be used in this emergency, however they do not seem concerned.
Española and most of Rio Arriba County is beginning to smell like a dump.
There are no excuses to allow this to continue. Call your representatives and demand action. It’s time to start firing those responsible. Leadership demands solutions, lets start getting some.
Our officials are crying that the equipment broke down, the mechanics cannot fix it. Who let it get this far? Why did they buy this equipment and not lease it?
Solid waste trucks require constant maintenance and are normally leased so they can be turned over before they fall apart. Maybe we should hire some professionals and do away with North Central Solid Waste, who have never been able to successfully operate the basic service of solid waste pick up.
