Invest in Health and Safety

Published:

    This November, we have a chance to invest in the health and safety of our kids, our families and our community. I urge everyone to vote yes on the Rio Arriba County bond package for safer roads and bridges, better health care and local nursing care options for seniors and safe and accessible recreation opportunities for our youth and families.

    Voting yes on the bond package means:

    • Repairing and maintaining critical roads and bridges in Abiquiú, Chama, Dixon, Española, Ohkay Owingeh, Santa Clara Pueblo, Tierra Amarilla and more, as well as purchasing needed road equipment;

    • Providing a local, long-term nursing care facility for families in need; and

    • Providing safe and accessible recreation and community gathering opportunities for youth, families and seniors.

    Rio Arriba County is responding to urgent services identified by members of the community. No funds will be used for administrative salaries or overhead and all expenditures will be subject to independent oversight to ensure tax dollars are spent in a responsible and transparent manner.

    Please join me in voting yes on Nov. 5.
