SUN Staff Report
Electrical power has been restored to Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative’s entire coverage area.
Power was fully restored Dec. 11 at 4 p.m., Co-op Operations Manager Johnny Lujan said.
Power outages hit the Co-op Dec. 9 and again Dec. 11.
“It’s been three days straight of repairs out here,” a Tri-State employee said at the Hernandez station. Tri-State provides electricity from its power plants to the Co-op’s distribution network. An equipment malfunction at a Tri-State delivery point was blamed for the latest power loss.
Full coverage of this week’s power outages will appear in next week’s issue of The Rio Grande Sun.
