Kenneth “Carlos” Sherwood aka China, 70 years old, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on October 08, 2023 unexpectedly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mabel Sherwood; siblings, Leroy Sherwood, Faustino Gilbert Sherwood, Erma Montoya, Dennis Sherwood and Patty Sherwood; nephews, Robert Trujillo, Kevin Romero, Michael Sherwood.
Carlos is survived by his BEST friend/dog Snoopy and horse Ginger, daughter Kristal Sherwood, Grand children Rubyanna Montoya, Chantel Martinez (John Naranjo) but was more of a daughter to him, Jesus Dowdy, Angel Dowdy, Vanalope Dowdy, the mother of his daughter Susie Martinez, his siblings Judith Sherwood, Corrine Martinez (Jerry), Albert Sherwood, Debbie Sherwood, Della Sherwood, Wayne Sherwood, Yolanda Sherwood (Jeremiah), Sammy Sherwood, brother in law Charlie Montoya, and all of his nieces and nephews.
A memorial service took place on Wednesday November 15, 2023, viewing at 10 am and services at 11am, at The Rock Christian Fellowship.
Burial followed at the El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Cemetery in Chimayo, NM. Serving the family as pallbearers are Mark A. Herrera, Casey M. Montoya IV, Urban Quintana, Samuel Romero, Keith Romero and Jerry Martinez.
Honarary Pallbearers are Ronald Trujillo and Kenny his best friends!
