The Elkettes (1-6) rallied to stave off a sweep, but then ran out of gas in losing to the Lady Blue Griffins 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-14 in tournament play.

Mesa Vista
Facing a loaded field at The University of New Mexico Lobos Invitational, the Trojans were the top Class 1A-2A finisher with 418 points, coming in 16th among 28 teams, most of them 4A and 5A schools.
Ezequiel Nevarez led the effort, finishing 39th overall, with a time of 17 minutes, 25.19 seconds on the UNM North Golf Course.
Jonathan Martinez was 44th in 17:28.94, followed by Andres Valdez in 74th in 18:19.42.
Pojoaque Valley
Isequel Villegas finished 103rd in 18:58.21 to lead the Elks effort in the Lobos Invitational, where they finished 24th. Pete Archuleta was not far off the pace in 19:19.05 for 111th.
