LEE A. QUINTANA JR.,
39, a resident of Hernandez passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 7, 2009. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, landscaping, woodwork, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jacobo and Lydia Maestas; paternal grandfather, Nelson Quintana; nephew, Aaron Benavidez; aunts, Dollie Bustos, Marilyn Trujillo and JoAnn Lucero and uncle, David Quintana. Mr. Quintana is survived by his son, Adrian Lee; daughter, LeeAnn; parents, Lee Sr. and Jackie Quintana; sister, Rachel Quintana and Phillip; nephews, Phillip and Jehoran all of Hernandez; aunts and uncles, Roy Maestas and wife Viola of Pueblo, CO, Naomi Trujillo and husband Ralph (Godfather), Patsy Vigil and husband Lawrence, Michael Maestas and Wilfred Bustos all of Hernandez; Walter Maestas and Vicente Trujillo both of Albuquerque; paternal grandmother, Emilia R. Quintana of Española; paternal great-grandmother, Emilia Quintana of Colorado Springs, CO; Joann Rael and husband Lupe of Albuquerque; George Quintana and Grace; Gloria and husband Bruce Woodson, all of Santa Fe; Marie Martinez and husband Randy of Alcalde; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation was Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez with the following serving as pallbearers, Phillip Benavidez Sr., Ronnie Maestas, Brian Balkey, Chris Maestas, Dale Garcia, Casey Gonzales, Jacob Maestas, Harold Bustos, Randy Trujillo and Daniel Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers named are, Phillip Benavidez Jr., Ralph and Naomi Trujillo, Patsy Vigil, Ernie Maestas and Robert Trujillo.
