Lobos Beat McCurdy for District 2A Title

(Courtesy photo by Earl Martinez) Escalante’s Adam Gurulé, shown here winning the 100-meter dash at the Santa Rosa Invitational April 19 in Santa Rosa, has qualified in eight events for the Class A-AA state track and field meet. Gurulé has the fastest state-qualifying time of 10.72 seconds in the 100-meter dash. Gurulé has also qualified in the 200-meter dash, long jump, triple jump and high jump. He was a member of Escalante’s 400-meter, 800-meter and 1600-meter relays, which all qualified for state.
