Lorraine D. Ortiz, 68, of Nambe, NM, passed away on October 4, 2023. She was born on July 7, 1955, to Hepalito (Paul) Sisneros and Clorovea Sisneros in Minturn, CO.
Lorraine was a beloved member of the community. She worked for the Pueblo of Pojoaque Supermarket for over thirty years. She was dedicated to the service industry. Her uniform was her smile, and she cared for her customers as family. She had an extraordinary talent for creating personalized cakes and flowers.
When Lorraine wasn’t in the store, she was at home with her late husband Donald Ortiz and her beloved fur children Cruzita (tinkle), Savannah, and Sparkles the cat. Lorraine loved cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed planning parties for special occasions. Lorraine was a beautiful kind soul. Her smile was stunning. It would light up the room. She will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her Paternal and Maternal Grandparents, her late husband Donald Ortiz, father Hepolito (Paul), mother Clorovea (Trujillo) Sisneros, sister Lilian Sisneros, and brother Joseph Sisneros.
She is survived by her brothers George (Eleanor), Paul (Sherri), and Albert (Donna), sisters Frances (Danny), Isabel (Anthony), and Esther (Herbert), brother-in-law Dennis (Jeanette), mother-in-law Rose, God-children Josh, Xavier, Bo, and Heather, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home, with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception to follow at the Cities of Gold Casino in Pojoaque.
