A metallic blue lowrider was among the thousands of antique rides, tricked-out vehicles and custom cars on display across the city on Good Friday, some of them cruising and bouncing along Riverside Drive using custom hydraulic systems. The lowriders double as works of art, paying homage to a rich historic tradition rooted in Chicano culture and dating back to early lowrider builders in Los Angeles and Mexico.
