Lugardita D. Sisneros,

89, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009, in Albuquerque. Luggie was born December 24, 1920 to Domingo and Amada Duran in El Vado, NM. She and her family lived in Española, NM until 1967 when they moved to Albuquerque. Luggie is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy; sister, Soraida Sanders; parents; step-siblings, Pete and Abelino Valdez, and Ascencion Gallegos; and nephew, Domingo Serrano. She is survived by sons, Joe Duran and wife, Theresa, of Bernalillo, Eddie and Beverly Sisneros of Albuquerque, Ray and Cinda Sisneros of Amarillo, TX, and Armando of Albuquerque; special granddaughter, Amanda Sisneros; and god daughter, Della M. Serna of Española. She had 14 grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; and is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family and friends who loved her and will miss her. Luggie was employed during WW II by Los Alamos Labs and by the Española Public Schools. Services will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at Sacred Heart Parish in Española, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St, NW, ABO, 87107. 343-8008.
