Mabel Diaz,
68, Inglewood, CA died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008. She was born November 27, 1940 in Chamita, NM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Diaz; parents, Emilio and Antonia (Tonita) Salazar; brothers, Jose R. (Lolo), Johnny and Ernesto.
Mrs. Diaz was a hairdresser for over 35 years and retired from her profession in 2000. She was a very loving and caring mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone around her. She was kind, caring, and willing to help anyone in need. Most of all she loved being a grandma. She will be dearly missed by all her family and all who knew her.
Mrs. Diaz is survived by her children; Debra Diaz, Redondo Beach, CA; Rowland Diaz, Whittier, CA; Linda Diaz, Inglewood, CA; brother, Pat Salazar, Santa Fe, NM; sisters, Gaby Olivas, Lennox, CA; Mary LaBadie, Lyden, NM; 2 grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Cremation has been planned. Services are Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Hermosa Beach, CA.
