Maclovio Gonzales, 45, of Hernandez and formerly of Tres Piedras, died Friday, May 1, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Gonzales; father, Edd Gonzales; brother, David Solano; sister, Viola Solano; grandmother; Juanita Tafoya and grandfather, Alfredo Tafoya.
Mr. Gonzales was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Mountain Frog Association.
He is survived by his children, Andrew, Michael and Britney Gonzales, all of Taos; sisters, Edna, Juanita Gonzales and Adela Chavez, all of Hernandez; brother, Joe Gonzales, Medanales and numerous other relatives and friends.
A devotional service was held May 5 at the Truth Ministries Calvary Chapel in Arroyo Seco with a funeral service following at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Piedras. Burial followed at the Tres Piedras Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Pablo Otero, Richard Chavez, Bill Orona, Danny Salazar, Randy Roybal, Jimmy Madrid and David Salazar. Honorary pallbearers are Ross Padilla and Juan Manzanares.
