Man Hit By Car, Finds Himself Trapped Under Vehicle

Española Police Department officers responded to a single vehicle crash Oct. 12, when a vehicle operated by Leonard Jimenez crashed into the fence at Performance Maintenance, Inc., on Paseo de Oñate. Jimenez, who was already on probation, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Rio Arriba County Detention Center. He has been charged with driving while under the influence and abuse of a child, because his son was in the back seat. He admitted at the scene to using heroin before driving.
