Man Shot in Alleged Alcalde Attack

(Courtesy photo) Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s deputies stand outside an Alcalde home where a man was shot and killed late Saturday. The shooter, 35-year-old Kaiwee Martinez, claimed the man had a knife and was demanding she take off her shirt. The person who took this photo was threatened with arrest by deputies on the scene if he continued to take pictures. It is not illegal to take photos of people in public view.
