Marcelino Vigil
Marcelino Vigil, 90, Española, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 following a short illness.
Mr. Vigil loved fishing, making his own inventions, cooking and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Vigil; brothers and sisters, Canuto, Benjamin and Jose Inez Vigil, Floripa Vigil, Sarita Vigil and Sofia Trujillo.
Mr. Vigil is survived by his daughters, Joann and Rosaline Trujillo, both of La Villita; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
A rosary was recited Oct. 30 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Burial followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Mendie Trujillo, Ernest Archuleta, Heather Archuleta, Nelson Martinez, Juanito Diaz and Bernadette Diaz.
