McCurdy Focusing on ‘Eight Minutes’

(SUNfoto by George Morse) McCurdy School senior Daniel Arroyo will play linebacker in the 3-3 stack defense that new coach Jorge Oropeza is installing at McCurdy. Arroyo will move to running back when McCurdy is on offense. The Bobcats lost to Escalante in the Class A football playoffs semifinals when the Lobos drove down the field in the fourth quarter, eating up eight minutes on the clock and scoring the decisive touchdown in a 41-34 victory. Oropeza is using that as motivation this season.
