A great event happened Jan. 22 on the Washington, D.C. Mall. The largest ever March for Life was held. It is estimated over 200,000 people participated.
We searched in vain for coverage in newspapers and television. It was either minimal or not at all. Yet “Obama lifts ban on abortion funding,” merited the front page in many papers. Is it something to rejoice about?
We wish to publicly thank former President Bush for his strong commitment to protecting the most vulnerable and innocent members of our society by signing the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, his support of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act,
the Hyde Amendment, the Mexico City Policy, which prevents tax funds from being used to promote abortion in other countries, his support of adult and umbilical stem cell research, which has already been successful in treating patients with their own stem cells, for his opposition to human cloning and embryonic stem cell research, which requires the killing of human life and has not yet found cures for anything, and for his many more pro-life policies.
It seems the Bush-bashers are determined to continue. If that makes them happy, so be it.
President Obama has promised, “the first thing I will do is sign the Freedom of Choice Act.” Among other things, that means tax funds will be used for abortions any time, any where, for any reason. It will prevent parents of underage girls from knowing, it will cover up for sexual abuse of young girls and much more.
We will pray that Pres. Obama will wake up and realize that abortion is genocide against his own and Hispanic race, more than anyone else.
We will continue to hope for the good of beloved country, that the tide will turn.
