Michael Matthew Lujan

Michael Matthew Lujan, 36, a resident of Espanola passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 16, 2008.  He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Manuel Lee Lujan, on May 2, 2008, brother, Carlos Lujan; paternal grandmother, Siria Lujan and maternal grandmother, Annie Arellano.  Michael is survived by his twin sons, Dylan and Joshua Lujan; daughter, Brooke Lujan, all of Espanola; parents, Ruben and Patsy Lujan of Espanola; mother of his children, Shannon Keeney of Bosque Farms; paternal grandfather, Manuel N. Lujan of Espanola; cousin raised like a sister, Tina Lowery of Denver, CO; foster brother, Dennis Morales of Santa Fe; paternal aunts, Catherine Salazar and husband Jerry of Santa Fe and Theresa Roybal and husband Jimmy of El Llano; paternal uncles, Ronnie Lujan and wife Olga of Fairview and Rudy Lujan and wife Tina of La Mesilla; maternal aunts, Theresa Vigil and husband Lupe of Espanola, Ellen Herrera and husband Wally of Albuquerque; Rose Vogt and husband Don of Denver, Veronica Chacon and husband Alfonso of Ojo Caliente; maternal uncles, Ben Arellano and wife Pauline of Santa Cruz, Gilbert Arellano and wife Carol of Albuquerque, Ed Herrera of Espanola and many cousins, relatives and friends.  Public visitation was Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 7:15 p.m. and rosary following  at 7:30 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, burial followed at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Jerry Salazar, Alfonso and Andy Chacon, Ed Herrera, Randy and Rudy Lujan, Rudy Moya, and Miguel Martinez.  The family of Michael Matthew Lujan has placed their trust in DeVargas Funeral Home of the Espanola Valley.  505-747-7477 or www.devargasfuneral.com
