Moises Supports Local Communities

Published:

I’ve known Moises Morales since January 1974, when I moved to Tierra Amarilla to live and work for 15 years. I’ve known him as a friend and I’ve known him through years of political battles and struggles.

He was a leader in the fight to bring down the Naranjo political machine which, in the view of many, kept Rio Arriba County from moving forward. This was a fight which required him to defeat false criminal charges filed to shut him up.

He has strongly supported local communities in their efforts to utilize what are now the National Forests for sustainable logging and grazing. He has worked for this his entire adult life. He served on the Rio Arriba County Commission for two terms and helped the County move forward.

I do not contend that Moises is a perfect candidate, but who is?  But, he is a good candidate and he will bring back progress to the County.

I do not know his opponent and have no opinion about him for that reason.  I do know Moises and urge the voters of his district to support him for County Commissioner on June 2, 2020.
