Nascar Driving at the New Post Office

I would like to comment on the new Española post office. For the past many months, construction on the new place has been ongoing. In that time frame, was the architect even thinking about the end product when it was designed?

Additionally, was there a safety engineer present to review the plan layout for safety? It seems to me that the designer must  have been a former Nascar driver, because its design makes me feel like I am dodging traffic all around. There are cars everywhere, parking is inadequate, with no visible means of improvement.

I really feel sorry for our elderly community because they are going to have their hands full dealing with the new post office. I also hope they plan to expand our police force, because inevitably, fender benders are going to be a dime a dozen there. At the very minimum, a circular in and out plan should have been designed in order to facilitate traffic flow.

As usual, this is another odd addition to our city. Does everything in Española have go to the lowest bidder without regard for safety, practicality and improvement? I see no advantage shown for the massive expense the taxpayer will inherit. In comparison, what was wrong with the old post office?
