Recently appointed Village of Chama Mayor Ron Russom (center) talks to New Mexico State Police  Major Robert Thornton at a March 28, 2016 Rio Arriba County/Española E911 Board meeting. One of Russom’s first officials duties as mayor was to get the New Mexico Department of Transportation to help remove the piles of snow the Village took in during the week of Jan. 22.
