I write in response to your reporting which supports the abortion industry and your being against Rio Arriba County Commissioner James Martinez, who has introduced a proclamation affirming the sanctity of life.
You need not be reminded that the greatest asset we have in life is to be alive. Once life begins at conception and continues until natural death, a person is a person no matter their size, looks or shape. It’s all in their makeup. Only humans enjoy the intellectual and willful faculty that other creatures do not possess.
To end that life of a unique human being by abortion is dehumanizing, a grave injustice and a crime against humanity itself. This may seem redundant to you but it must be emphasized to the point that it reaches the innermost part of your soul.
Your corner of the world may want to perpetuate this evil position. Reflect and join the 20 states, 207 congressmen and millions of Americans who want to uphold a law protecting babies from abortion.
Rather than denying a legal protection of a class of unborn human beings, recognize the sanctity of life.
