Rep. Ben Ray Lujan has not yet held a town hall meeting while on this most recent Congressional recess.
At the beginning of this month-long recess, I called his Santa Fe office to inquire if any town halls were scheduled and was told that it was uncertain if he would be holding any but to sign up for his newsletter for any announcement. Almost three weeks later, I again called one of his offices and was told that they were being “tentatively” planned but not given any “tentative” dates or locations and was again told to watch for any announcement in his newsletter.
First District Rep. Deb Haaland has already held three town halls for her constituents. Third Congressional District constituents of Rep. Lujan deserve the same courtesy. All those who voted for the Representative, as well as those who did not, deserve a public forum where they are able to raise the concerns and questions that they have to Rep. Lujan and have him publicly address those issues.
