Norman Romero

Norman Romero, 53, a lifelong resident of Truchas who was a loving and caring father, passed away accidentally, at his home, on Saturday, November 15, 2008.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Fedelina Romero; maternal grandparents, Solomon and Josefita Mondragon; paternal grandparents, Jacinto and Pablita Romero; sister, Peggy Romero, brothers, Michael and Bruce Romero.  Norman is survived by his loving daughter, Nicole Valerie Romero; father, Marcello Romero; brothers, Jesse Romero and wife Dorothy, Jacinto and Solomon Romero, all of Truchas; sisters, Carol Martinez of Chimayo, Mary Lou Romero of Fairview, and Angie Martinez of Truchas, Mary Alice Molina of Sombrillo, Rosalie Baca and husband Joe of Chimayo, Sheryl Wise Trujillo who was like a sister, of Espanola; mother of his daughter, Lucille Jaramillo; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.  Public visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home, rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at, please call funeral home for time at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Truchas.  Burial will take place at Los Llanitos Cemetery with the following as pallbearers, Michael Lopez, Richard Barela, Tommy Martinez, Michael Montoya, Roy Romero, Walter Sandoval, Joseph Roybal, Albert, and Arsenio Sanchez.  Honorary pallbearers are Phil Dominguez, Jimmy Martinez, Elijio Padilla Sr., Danny Romero, Eli Lopez and Flaymon Sandoval Jr.  The family of Norman Romero has placed their trust in DeVargas Funeral Home of the Espanola Valley. 505-747-7477 or www.devargasfuneral.com
