(SUNfoto by Ardee Napolitano) Northern New Mexico College Board of Regents Vice President Damian Martinez (left) speaks with Provost Pedro Martinez before the start of an April 10 Board meeting. Regents approved, at the meeting, to increase tuition and non-course specific fees by 8.9 percent next school year, in an effort to compensate for a $2 million budget reduction next fiscal year. Damian Martinez said although unfortunate, the increase is badly needed by the institution.
