For millions of Americans struggling to ride out this economic turmoil, good jobs are harder to come by.
With CEOs getting golden parachutes while working families get stuck holding the bag, we need to level the playing field. CEO’s should have very limited compensation and no stock options. All those profits shoud be placed back into the company and employees who actually make the company.
Sure a CEO plays a part, but never justifiably deserves that kind of compensation. Good compensation for good production. Out with the CEO’s. As you have seen, they are useless, driving companies to the brink of failure, causing great harm to America and its people and then asking for help because they screwed up.
This was all probably very well-orchestrated. What a slap in the face to us all. And we like it, we love it, because it just happens over and over again, and the gutless Congress is so out of touch with what happens to real people in the real world that they just do the same old nothing….over and over again. What a sad country this has become.
We have to at least ensure more men and women have access to good jobs, whether they be union or non-union. We need the ability for workers to have fair pay, quality health care, better job standards, and less insecurity.
I hope our new leaders in Congress will pass the Employee Free Choice Act and make the economy work for everyone. Millions of Americans voted for change and this bill will hopefully be a step in the right direction.
