Paul J. Blea, 55, a lifelong resident of Española, died Thursday, April 9, 2009.
Mr. Blea spent 11 years with the University of California, 10 years with McDonald Douglas in California and 11 years with Bowing Enterprises.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Blea; mother, Macedonia R. Blea; daughter, Amanda; brother, Vincente; sister, Dorothy; grandfather, Mariano Romero and grandmother, Refugio.
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph Blea and Phillip Blea; son, Jon Paul Blea; ex-wife, Glenda Vallejos; step-sons, Tony and Joseph Vigil and numerous other relatives and friends.
A rosary was recited April 13 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A second rosary was recited April 14 in the same location. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated April 15 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Burial followed at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Española with the following serving as pallbearers, Leon and Leonard Sanchez, Aaron and Jerry Martinez, Julian Rendon and Ivan Trujillo.
