(SUNfoto by George Morse) Pojoaque Valley’s CJ Berryman takes the baton from teammate Hippolyte Bernard for the anchor leg of the 800-meter relay March 31 at the Pojoaque Invitational. The Elks finished second in a state-qualifying time of one minute, 35.35 seconds. Berryman also anchored Pojoaque’s 1600-meter relay, where he finished first with a state-qualifying time of three minutes, 37.09 seconds. Pojoaque scored 40 points and finished fourth in the team standings.
