(SUNfoto by Bill Rodgers) Maureen Vigil (right) is comforted after learning her boyfriend, Kevin P. Medina, 33, died the afternoon of July 22 at the couple’s Hernandez home. Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s deputy Ray Romero said he suspects Medina died of an overdose, possibly of alcohol, due to his medical history, but would not go into more details because the case is still under investigation. The deputy does not suspect drugs as a factor because officers did not find evidence of drugs at the scene. An autopsy report is pending from the state Office of the Medical Investigator.
