(SUNfoto by Bill Rodgers) State Police Sgt. Omar Sanchez gets into his cruiser following an overdose call at a Camino de Roberto home Monday. A woman called at about 2 p.m. and told Española 911 dispatchers a 24-year-old man was overdosing on heroin and was barely breathing. The woman said she gave the man Narcan, which can counteract a drug overdose. Sanchez said the man was conscious and was fully alert when he saw the sergeant standing in his house.
