Police Blotter: Wife’s Car Disabled until Husband’s Wallet Returned

(SUNfoto by Lou Mattei) State Police officer Anthony Jaramillo investigates a traffic accident Sept. 4 that involved two cars and blocked traffic for 30 minutes in front of San Juan Elementary. The black Honda Accord (left) was heading southeast on State Road 74 when it struck a tan Honda Civic pulling out of the school’s parking lot, Jaramillo said. Jaramillo said no one was seriously injured and both car drivers were cited at the scene of the accident, the driver of the Accord for reckless driving and the driver of the Civic for failure to yield. Just after the accident occurred, Española School District bus number 19, driven by Daniel Farewell, who works for bus contractor J & I Valencia Corporation, obtained minor damage as Farwell tried to drive around the wreck, District Transportation Director Sennie Quintana said.
