(SUNfoto by Bill Rodgers) A State Police cruiser sits outside Hernandez Elementary Oct. 26 after the school was placed on a lock-down, which was called off after about an hour. Española School District Superintendent Evelyn Maruska said there were reports of gunshots near the school, which turned out to be a neighbor sighting in his rifle. At least three State Police cruisers were joined on the scene by a State Police helicopter, Lt. Eric Garcia confirmed.
