Police Blotter: Woman Suspects In-Laws of Bugging Apartment, Luggage
A white Audi sedan led Pojoaque Tribal Police on a chase through Pojoaque and into Arroyo Seco Friday morning, where they were joined by a Santa Fe County Sheriff’s deputy. The Audi had been carjacked from Santa Fe earlier that morning, after a robbery, according to a press release from the Santa Fe City Police Department and was spotted in Pojoaque, where the driver fled tribal police and headed north toward Española. The driver turned the car around near Boneyard Road, but not before it was hit by an officer trying to conduct a pit maneuver. With the back of the car damaged, the driver continued to flee south once again, toward Pojoaque as the three officers chased him and were joined by two New Mexico State Police officers. The driver was eventually stopped and apprehended. Those in the car were identified as Edward Lucio, 43; Christopher Varela, 40; Consuelo Ortega, 27; and Mari Bela Amor Gonzales, 26.
