Rabid critics of President Obama’s every action and policy need to realize that what happens in the United States does not stay in the United States. They are broadcasting to the entire world.
Automatic opposition to every proposal with alternatives that are proven ineffective or appear to come from outer space – or no alternatives at all – presents a picture of a nation so divided as to be nonfunctional. They might consider this before responding with knee-jerk negativity.
I am not suggesting they curb their constitutional right to free speech, or that such speech constitutes disloyalty to the country. But most of their comments are no more logical than that old juvenile taunt: “So’s yer old man!” They look like spiteful and ignorant children.
When are they going to grow up and start acting more like legislators and less like playground bullies?
