A two-way player for the Lobos in the trenches, Martinez helped the defense out with back-to-back sacks that led to a punt. And he helped push the ground game into scoring position multiple times.

Despite battling heavy cramps throughout the day, Martinez led the Bobcats offense to a closer-than-expected game against Hope Christian. The senior ran for 115 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns, and added another 47 receiving yards.
Ethan Meloy, Pojoaque Football
Pojoaque’s new starting quarterback kicked off the season with a bang, dominating Navajo Prep for Pojoaque’s first win since 2021. Meloy accounted for four total touchdowns, three through the air on five passes and another on the ground.
Issak Reval, Dulce Football
Reval’s six total touchdowns led the Hawks to a victory in a dominant season-opener. He threw for 250 passing yards and four scores, and added two more on 20 rushing yards on a huge day for the offense.
