Voting ends at 1 p.m. on Tuesday

Felice Baca, Escalante Volleyball

The Lady Lobos are off to a fast start in district play at 2-0. Leading the way this week was Baca from the back row, holding down the defense as the Lobos started strong.

Andrew Martinez, Pojoaque Football

Despite the loss, it was the big junior receiver that made the big play for the Elks. His 70-yard touchdown pass provided Pojoaque’s lone score on an impressive play, and he also made his contributions on defense.

Jeremiah Martinez, Escalante Football

Martinez was nearly impossible to bring down against McCurdy, sparking the offense from the game’s first play. He ran for 117 yards on 15 carries plus a touchdown, and added a 2-point conversion. Martinez also made key stops on defense.

Victor Parra, Española Valley Football

With Taos driving late in the game down by six points, Española needed a defensive spark. Parra delivered, and intercepted a pass in the end zone to seal off the victory. After the game, teammates mobbed him, saying he won them the game with that play.
