Priscilla Fernandez 78,
a resident of Peñasco passed away on Sunday Feb. 8, 2009 surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents; Guillermo and Matilde Romero. 2 Brothers; Florencio and Leo Romero and one sister; Lucille Mascareñas. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clarence Fernandez of Peñasco. Children; Joseph Fernandez and wife Maxine of Peñasco, Edward Fernandez and wife Becky of Espanola, Connie Martinez and husband Pablo of Peñasco, Florence Baca and husband Bruce of Arizona and Brenda Fernandez of Santa Fe. Two brothers; Candido Romero of Utah, Ruben Romero and wife Estrella of Colorado. One sister; Rose Mojica of Utah. 8 Grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation was Tuesday Feb. 10, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco where a rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday Feb. 11, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. with burial following at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe. The following will serve as pallbearers; Adrian and Louis Fernandez, Pablo Martinez, Bruce Baca, Arnold Mascareñas and Albert Anglada.
