Rosemary Martinez

Rosemary Martinez, 65, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008 following a lengthy illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Martinez; parents, Jose and Toni Pacheco, and brother, Jose “Boogie” Pacheco.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.  Rosemary is survived by her children, Eileen and companion Joseph Springfield of Chimayo, Jerry and wife Debbie of Albuquerque, and Mark Martinez and companion Loni of Chamita; grandchildren, Jeralee Gorden and companion Adrian Lucero of Pojoaque, Jamie Barton of Albuquerque, Ty Springfield of Chimayo and Adriana Martinez of Espanola; step-grandchildren, Aaron Lopez and Emilee Garcia, both of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Adrian Jerry Lucero of Pojoaque; brothers and sisters, Rupert Gonzales and husband Charles, Florence Lopez, and Joann Pacheco, all of Santa Fe, Ted Pacheco of Albuquerque, Brian Pacheco of Chicago; goddaughter, Jessica Hess of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Exilda Pacheco; and numerous other relatives and friends.  Public visitation was Friday, November 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, burial followed at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving as pallbearers, Mark, and Jerry Martinez, Joseph Springfield, Adrian Lucero, John Martinez, Albert Martinez Jr. and Bert Lopez.
