As a former president of the Espanola School District’s Board of Education, I have always been impressed by the hard work and dedication of those students enrolled in the ROTC Program under the command of Major Mark Gonzales.
A public forum was hosted Oct. 26 by the Democratic Party of Rio Arriba County for candidates running for the U.S. Senate and the U.S House of Representatives. The ROTC Color Guard once again presented in a most outstanding manner and I want to thank them for doing so. They presented with poise and confidence and their presence was most appreciated by all in attendance.
The ROTC Program is and will continue to be a positive and successful program of the District. I wish Major Gonzales and his students continued success. These students are our future leaders.
