The Española Lowrider Association held a toy drive on Saturday, with the hope of collecting 1,000 toys. They came up a bit short, with 709 collected, so far. There’s still time to donate. Drop-off boxes are set up at the following locations: Dandy’s Burgers, Hacienda Home Center, Denny’s and Pizza 9 in Española; Sopaipilla Factory in Pojoaque and Gabriel’s in Cuyamungue. Donations can also be made at Freddy’s in Española, where they can be dropped off with the cashier. The donation boxes will be available until Dec. 7. The toys will be distributed to area youth before the Española Light Parade in December.
