School Board: Are Bleachers Safe?

(SUNfoto Lindsey Bright) Working hard on the understructure of the Española Valley High School bleachers, former Sundevil Brad Gonzales cleans and straightens the metal beams, which support the cheering crowds during basketball games and other sporting events. Gonzales is doing work for the original contract that was approved by the Española School Board June 22 with School Equipment Inc. However, the Board is considering doing more extensive and cosmetic work that would be out of the scope of the current contract.
