The annual Shop With a Cop event was held Sunday at Walmart with the Española City Police Department, Rio Arriba County Sheriff’s Office, New Mexico State Police, Ohkay Owingeh Police Department and the New Mexico National Guard participating. Rio Arriba Sheriff’s Deputy Nicholas Diaz helped two unidentified boys choose gifts. He and other officers and volunteers helped more than 130 children shop for gifts this year.
