Skills Not Inherited

Published:

Please let me save some of the candidates considering running for the House District 3 seat and the New Mexico Senate seat some time and trouble.

Marco Serna will not get my vote. He has proven himself to be incapable in running the District Attorney’s Office, despite his campaign assurances.

I will listen to and consider Valerie Espinoza if she joins the race.

So far none of the others considering the race seem to fit the bill of who might best make decisions for us on Capitol Hill.

I am glad that another candidate has joined the Senate race. Like Serna, Ben Ray Lujan may not be our best capable choice. I too used to go into the office with my father, but I know that I, to this day could not do my father’s job. Political representation is not an inherited ability.

These decisions are much too important to rely on name recognition alone. This country needs elected officials with true skills and abilities.
