Sundevils Win Española Classic

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Española Valley’s Jared Garduño drives hard to the basket for a layup in the Sundevils’ 71-59 victory over Valencia in the opening round of the Española Classic tournament Dec. 12 at Española. Garduño scored 16 points against the Jaguars and earned most valuable player honors for the tournament. The Sundevils improved to 6-2 on the season and will participate in the Holiday Hoops tournament Dec. 27 and 28 at Rio Rancho.
