Susana Borrego Robinson, 82, Santa Cruz, died Saturday, April 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Genoveva and Cesario Borrego; husband, Morris Robinson; brother, Santana Borrego; sister, Mela Quintana.
Mrs. Robinson was a strong and independent woman who worked in the shipyards in Oakland, Calif. during World War II.
She is survived by her children, Johnny Robinson, White Rock; Suzanne Martinez, Santa Fe; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Celina Borrego and Martha Denolte, Santa Cruz and numerous other relatives and friends. A devotional service will be held on today (4/23) at 10:30 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
