The March 19 article about Matthew Gonzales in the arts section was very informative. Thank you to the Rio Grande SUN and Arts Editor Robert Eckert for detailing the steps involved in creating a bronze sculpture.
Gonzales’ art may not be your cup of tea but learning about the dedication needed to create the art makes you respect the artist for the efforts and process.
I see a lot of various artworks up close in my workday and get to learn about a lot of art that would never get to be inside my home, either for aesthetics or expense involved, but I do learn to appreciate hard work and talent.
