(SUNfoto by Nathan J. Comp) An unidentified motorist is taken away on a stretcher June 19 after being rear-ended while traveling northbound on Riverside Drive, in front of the Fairview Sonic. The motorist was struck when he stopped to purchase the latest edition of the Rio Grande SUN, according to detective Solomon Romero. Although the motorist was taken to the hospital, he escaped serious injury, Romero said.
