Turkey Shoot Raises Money for High School Bowling Team

Steve Montoya III eyes the lane, as he mentally prepares to roll the ball using both hands. The Española Valley High School ninth-grader is on the bowling team and competes almost every Saturday. He bowled a 230 the day before Sunday’s fund-raising event, where scores weren’t recorded. The 9-No-Tap fundraiser treats a nine as a strike.
