“I am trying to not make a big deal out of this because I don’t want to give it more fuel than it deserves,” Heritage Area Director Thomas Romero said about recent graffiti on the Don Juan de Oñate statue and wall around the property. “But the issue is still strong and the issue of the representation of all the people and taking everybody’s concern about this into consideration is really important.”
