(SUNfoto by George Morse) Michael Weinette guides his raft through the Screaming Left rapids on the Rio Chama Sunday. A school teacher from Darouzett, Texas, Weinette was part of a group of 10 youths and four adults who floated 31 miles through the Chama Canyon Wilderness north of Abiquiú. The waterflows on the Rio Chama stay consistently high through the summer because of releases from El Vado Dam.
